Santa Casa de Porto Alegre has over 200 years of history and a pioneering and credible trajectory, promoting innovation initiatives, technological performance, and knowledge generation. The Hospital Complex has received 2 more ReCARE devices to better serve patient demand. The technology will be used in the ICU, contributing to improving the quality of care of the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS) at the new Nora Teixeira Hospital, the ninth hospital unit of the Santa Casa Complex.

According to the Coordinator of the Physiotherapy Service of Santa Casa de Porto Alegre, Dr. Rodrigo Plentz, the Hospital Complex has a high demand for the use of ReCARE. "We acquired two more devices due to the high demand generated by this new technology (ReCARE). Medical and nursing teams, as well as patients, request the use of these devices, which generated the need for more investments in this area. The return on investment (ROI), when well-managed, occurs in the first few months, making this investment a new source of revenue and results for physiotherapy services."

Santa Casa is a reference in several services, not only for the capital city but for the entire state of Rio Grande do Sul. The arrival of ReCARE brings more safety and quality to patients, as well as to medical teams who will have the most modern and powerful neuromuscular electrical stimulation equipment in the world at their disposal.

According to Physiotherapist Dr. Mauro Reck, responsible for applying the Advanced Neuromuscular Support at the Institution, the arrival of ReCARE has optimized and enhanced the team's work. "We have been successful even in cases of very severe patients with severe muscle weakness and atrophy associated with peripheral neuropathy. As an integral part of a physiotherapy program, it serves as an accelerator of the rehabilitation phases, allowing activities to be performed more early."

"With over 1000 applications in patients with various pathologies, it is possible to affirm that the Advanced Neuromuscular Support makes a total difference in the rehabilitation of our patients, improving patient experience, quality of care and recovery time," complements physiotherapist Dr. Kaciane Brambatti.
